Gijón/Asturien: Vortragsanmeldung zu INCUNA 2020 noch bis 15. August / Virtuelle Konferenz mit lokalen Highlights

The deadline for the reception of summaries and abstracts for the 22nd International Conference on Industrial Heritage- INCUNA 2020-  has been extended to 15 August. The INCUNA 2020 Conference on „A New Era for Industrial Heritage“ has to date confirmed over a hundred communications from 18 countries. Participation will be substantial with ON LINE and VIRTUAL presence on the basis of an interactive application which, either virtually or face-to-face, will enable participants to be in Gijón and Asturias from 23rd to 26th September delivering speeches and sharing and debating experiences and new activities about Industrial Heritage at international level…

The Conferences are organized by INCUNA (Industry, Culture, Nature), an association with a wide experience in the defence, research, diffusion and valuation of industrial and cultural heritage, with the collaboration of different public and private institutions and associations related to heritage management. The conferences will be held at the „Espacio Cultural Escuela de Comercio“ (Gijón Business School Cultural Space) in Gijón, from 23rd to 26th September 2020, with the collaboration of Gijón City Council, the Principality of Asturias, Instituto del Patrimonio Cultural de España (IPCE) (Spanish Cultural Heritage Institute) of the Spanish Ministry of Culture, Professional Associations, Universities, Companies and other public and private institutions

Some face-to-face activities, adapted to the available capacity and circumstances, will be streamed to all the registered participants.

 

The Conference consists of the following 4 sections and other cross-panels that will be  communicated later:

1- Ways of Transport and Past Mobilities.

2- Conserving, securing and managing heritage.

3- Circular economy and Industrial Heritage and Tourism in the face of the new normal.

4- Energy and Ecological Transition of Industrial Heritage. Urban Planning Management and Sustainable Landscapes

There will be presentations on means of transport and historical mobility: railways, maritime, land and air transport and infrastructures, social heritage, machines and techniques, related architectural heritage, Circular Economy and Case, Place and Landscape History. Also: Conservation, Security and Interventions on heritage reuse, reviews and concept and weather proposals on industrial heritage and urban sustainable project management of heritage spaces. Photography recording and inventorying techniques and practices, films, sales documentation and technologies, machinery, buildings, intangible heritage in different economic sectors, industrial tourism, museums, community centres, etc. will also be dealt with.

Physical distance will not be an obstacle to keep our participation and social link going. This is the most important aspect of it in order to further develop this territory-based international network of cooperation and research on industrial, cultural and natural heritage promoted by INCUNA.
