Montreal: TICCIH-Konferenz auf Herbst 2022 verschoben

Aus Montreal erreicht uns folgendes Schreiben:
„I am writing this email to let you know that we have decided to postpone the TICCIH 2021 conference to 2022. The evolution of the pandemic and of vaccination does not allow us to hope to host the congress on the dates planned under adequate conditions and with the inclusiveness and accessibility that remain at the heart of our objectives…

The new dates for the TICCIH congress in Montreal are from August 28 to September 3, 2022. I hope that you will be able to participate as you planned to do in 2021. We are currently working to restructure the calendar of activities, visits and conferences for the congress and we promise you an event of meetings, discoveries and scientific and professional exchanges that will be warm, pleasant and interesting. The entire organizing team looks forward to welcoming you in the Montreal tradition of cordiality. The pandemic that affects us all calls more than ever for differentiated readings and innovative considerations of industrial heritage. Thanks to you and your contributions, this is what this “ Industrial Heritage Reloaded“ Congress in Montreal promises.

Over the next few weeks, we will work with you on completing the sessions, assigning to each of them, where appropriate, the related papers and participations, so that we can circulate a schedule that is at least preliminary as of this spring (for those in the northern hemisphere; as of this fall for those in the south). We intend to launch a „flash call“ for new papers proposals in June, which will undoubtedly allow new participants to come forward. We will also (by general request!) postpone the submission of the complete texts of the papers by a few weeks, i.e. to the end of July: our aim will be to make these texts available in digital format before the congress, in order to encourage and stimulate discussion, and then to publish them in the form of proceedings, after evaluation of course, in the wake of the 2022 congress.

We will send more precise information on the next deadlines, the program itself and the opening of registration for the congress, which will probably be around October 2021, in a separate e-mail.“
